About us
The See the Good Foundation exists to provide vision-saving care to individuals who lack access due to factors such as financial barriers and physical location…
Since 2019
Dr. Sobti has been the owner and primary ophthalmic surgeon at Texas Eye and Cataract, a clinic in Ellis County, just south of Dallas. During his time in this role, Dr. Sobti has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and used his position to found the See the Good Foundation. An average of two patients in Ellis County per month who are unable to afford cataract surgery have been given the gift of sight at no cost. The See the Good Foundation identifies patients with some of the most severe ocular conditions and little in the way of financial means, and provides timely, world-class eyecare, opening doors of opportunity for these individuals to work, travel, and live as they had before their loss of vision.
In addition to local efforts in and around Ellis County, the See the Good Foundation currently funds two medical mission trips annually, with partners in Guerrero, Mexico, and Corazol, Belize. The Foundation identifies partners in locations with little or no access to eyecare and pays for doctors to spend a full week treating patients, performing surgeries, and investing in local communities. These trips have a broad ripple effect, as many individuals in rural, impoverished areas who have cataracts lose their sight entirely. By treating a percentage of the population with the most severe cataracts, the whole community is supported by the increased participation and productivity of the treated individuals.
The See The Good Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that is supported by local donations. To support our mission of improving the world, one eye at a time!
